2021 မှာထွက်ရှိထားတဲ့ ပြင်သစ်အမျိုးသမီးဒါရိုက်တာ Lucile Hadzihalilovic ရဲ့ပထမဦးဆုံးသော အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားပြောရုပ်ရှင်ဖြစ်ပြီး စားရေးဆရာ Brian Catling ရဲ့ဝတ္ထုကို မှီငြမ်းရိုက်ကူးထားတာပါ။ ဇာတ်လမ်းအကျဥ်း1950 ဝန်းကျင် ဥရောပအငွေ့အသက်တွေနဲ့ ရိုက်ကူးထားတဲ့ ဒီကားရဲ့ဇာတ်ဆောင်ဖြစ်သူအဲလ်ဘတ်ဆဲလင့်ခ်က မီရာလို့ခေါ်တဲ့ ဆယ်နှစ်အရွယ်ကလေးမလေးကို ပြုစုစောင့်ရှောင့်ရသူပါ။ဒီမီရာလို့ခေါ်တဲ့ကလေးမလေးကို အဲလ်ဘတ်အဓိကလုပ်ပေးရတဲ့တာဝန်က ကလေးမရဲ့ရေခဲနဲ့လုပ်ထားတဲ့အံကပ်ကို ထိန်းသိမ်းလဲလှယ်ပေးရတာပါပဲ။တစ်နေ့မှာတော့ အမြဲတမ်းဖုန်းပဲဆက်တတ်တဲ့ အလုပ်ရှင်ဟာ မီရာကိုသူတို့ဆီခေါ်လာဖို့ အဲလ်ဘတ်ကိုပြင်ဆင်ခိုင်းတဲ့အခါ…တစ်ကားလုံးမှာ Dialogue နည်းနည်းသာပါပြီး mystery ဆန်ဆန် melodrama ဆန်ဆန်ရိုက်ကူးထားတဲ့ ဒီ Earwig ဆိုတဲ့ရုပ်ရှင်ဟာ fantasy/horror genre အမျိုးအစားပါ။ဝတ္ထုထဲမှာပဲသေချာပါပြီး ရုပ်ရှင်မှာမပါတဲ့ trivia တစ်ခုကတော့ ရုပ်ရှင်နာမည် Earwig ကအကြားအာရုံအင်မတန်ကောင်းတဲ့ အဲလ်ဘတ်ရဲ့ nickname ဆိုတာပါပဲ…..

Somewhere in Europe, mid-20th century. Albert is employed to look after Mia, a girl with teeth of ice. Mia never leaves their apartment, where the shutters are always closed. The telephone rings regularly and the Master enquires after Mia’s wellbeing. Until the day Albert is instructed that he must prepare the child to leave.
